Australia (A Musical Walkabout)
Australia's musical culture, like its aboriginal people, can trace a heritage back thousands of years but also embraces compositions produced its colonial and post-colonial eras. Many will know Australia's most famous musical son, Percy Grainger, and today Aussie composers are creating a powerful voice in the realm of new music. For our International Weekend we offer selections from this diverse region, as well as a new jazz work by Chuck Dotas.
