Ridgeview Christian School Reviews

No school is perfect. RCS included. However, we've had other children in public schools too. This is a breath of fresh air. The principal is a great Christian man. He works well with the students and genuinely loves them. Yes, the church is involved there. Of course it is! What else would you expect? RCS doesn't always get it right but no school does. Therefore, as Christians, we must submit ourselves to that authority. If you can't do that, stay in public schools. Our kids have been at the high school and elementary school levels. The academics are fine. Discipline is good. The difference is in the character of thse kids. RCS is building young men and women with high moral character. That's difficult to find in the public schools but prevalent at RCS. Want a good kid? Send them to RCS.

As a parent, we were extremely disappointed in Ridgeview. The concern seems to be more for getting numbers than for the students. Parental involvement is almost obsolete unless you are also a member of the church. They have recently introduced a parent board, all of which are church members. They don't have anyone to voice concerns to and the children are not taught values as you would expect from a Christian school. I feel that Ridgeview has lost its perspective and unfortunately the children are suffering.

Wow! I can't say enough good about Ridgeview Christian School. It has given my son a whole new attitude. He came from public school. RCS has been extremely encouraging to him. He is happier than I've ever seen him in school. RCS can't offere everything that public schools do, but with the limited resources it is doing great. My son certainly isn't deprived. He comes home and does his homework willingly every night. He has many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. He is gifted and RCS has accommodated him with accelerated classes. For the tuition money, it is hard to beat. It's much less than other private schools. The atmosphere is definitely a Christian one. It's a refreshing change from SDMS. I encourage any parent to check it out. Financial aid is available. Almost everyone can afford this private school.

My children have been attending Ridgeview for 3 years now and academically I have no complaints! The curriculum is outstanding and my children are challenged. My children are in the elementary school so for extracurricular activities everything is good. I do believe more parents can get involved with the school. A lot of the parents complain about minor issues but they are the ones who do not volunteer. In my opinion, no room to complain! The teachers are awesome. They love the children and pray over them. It is evident. I help out in the classes and I see first hand how much they care for the children. Kuddos teachers! Keep up the awesome work Ridgeview. We are going to continue to send our children and help in the school!

I was not pleased with our experience with RCS. My daughter came out of public school to become a student at Ridgeview. We were promised things the school did not provide, including additional assistance after school hours to help my daughter 'catch up' to the cirriculum (we were told 'all' teachers were paid to stay an extra hour to help children in need). As it turns out, her teacher that year ended up being a fill in, because another teacher quit. This 'fill in' had another full-time job and was not able to devote any time to helping my daughter become accustomed to the new academic standard of a private school setting. Because of the cost of tuition, we were unable to afford a private tutor. The school seemed unorganized and 'thrown together. My daughter returned to public schools.

My daughter attended Ridgeview this past year for the she program. I have nothing but good things to say! When she finished the year, she is reading way more that I ever expected. After talking with a county kindergarten teacher, she is way ahead of the public school. She had a wonderful year and we will send her back for first grade!

This school is very well rounded in its education and its spirituality. Ridgeview is a great place to learn and meet some great Christian friends and teachers. The principal, Mr. Ken Biggs, is a very involved person who does his best for the school and the students. The academics are very good. They will give your kids a great background for college, the workplace, or wherever it is that God leads them to. They also have a pretty solid sports program in just about everything. If your looking for a school with great academics and a good sports program, Ridgeview is the place for you.

Great school. My son has been there for two years. He has ADHD and Ridgeview takes the time to work with him and his needs. He loves it, no more fussing and whining when it is time to go to school. All around Great, positive influence for your children. The curriculum is difficult compared to what he was learning in public schools and he still likes it! No complaints here! Pamela Varney

My child has been at Ridgeview for 2 years and like any other place it has its ups and downs. I think that this is a wonderful place to raise a child. The body of this school and church are great. I sometimes think that the parents want more than they can have from just one place. If this would be the case then I feel the parents should just stay home with the child. I myself cannot afford to stay at home and would only feel safe with my child being at Ridgeview. We are going to have our own thoughts about where our children are no matter where they may be. But I can promise you when I say that I cannot say anything bad about the Ridgeview Community.
