“I have one child attending Kate Collins Middle School this year and another will be next year. At this school there seems to be no interest to improve the poor communication from school to parent. Regardless of the fact that there was a new principal last year safety and discipline were still huge areas of concern. Both of my children are T.A.G. students and it's a shame that this is the middle school enviroment that we are stuck with.”

“I am sending my children to Kate Collins Middle School only because there is no other public middle school in the City of Waynesboro. I hope the newly hired principal and asst. principal will devote themselves to revamping the disciplinary system and communicating with families of students. It is with trepidation that I send my third child to school there because my middle child had a lousy school year. If I could convince my husband to go to private school, our family would take our great SOL scores and hightail it out of there.”

“The staff at this school, esp. the principles and counselors, lack general understanding when it comes to dealing with the psychological well being of the children. Educating the kids in those respects are more important then looking for the trouble makers to punish. Teach them properly and there won't be any to punish. The school is pitiful as well as embarrassing to be associated with.”
